WeldMaster welding systems for laser processes

Integrated regulation and process control for stable welding processes

The WeldMaster masters the laser welding process - from seam tracking to quality assessment. It is a modular overall welding system from Precitec and combines high-precision sensor technology, real-time data processing and process-oriented control to create an integrated system solution for automated laser welding processes.

The focus is on the WeldMaster platform, which records geometric information such as component position, seam position and gap in real time and converts it directly into active control variables for beam guidance, axes and laser power. By combining different sensor principles and powerful signal processing, the welding process is continuously stabilized and adapted to changing conditions.

The OPC-UA data interface and the "LinkTec" data visualization system are available for quality assurance.

Stable processes. High speed. Less effort.

The WeldMaster platform enables end-to-end process control from tracking to quality assessment - and thus creates the basis for reproducible welding processes in series production.

  • Consistent welding quality even with component tolerances and varying gaps
  • High process speed, especially for remote applications without contact
  • Less filler wire, as processes are specifically designed without filler material
  • Reduced rejects and rework thanks to inline control and inspection
  • Flexible adaptation to different components, materials and applications

This turns individual functions into a coordinated system that makes laser welding processes efficient, stable and economical.

Which WeldMaster laser welding systems are available?

The WeldMaster platform forms the basis for different laser welding systems, which are used depending on the application and process requirements. From precise seam tracking and highly dynamic remote welding to targeted gap bridging, specialized solutions are available.

Consistent welding quality thanks to precise seam tracking

WeldMaster Track: For applications where exact positioning is essential. The seam is tracked optically and deviations are compensated for in real time.

Maximum speed with full process control

WeldMaster Scan & Track & Inspect: Remote welding with a large working distance and integrated inline inspection - ideal for fast, automated series processes.

Stable welding processes even with large gaps

WeldMaster Wire Select: Filler wire is used specifically to bridge gaps and enable crack-free joints - especially with aluminum.

Reliable gap bridging without filler wire

WeldMaster Pressure Wheel: Components are mechanically stabilized and gaps are closed locally - for reliable results with large joining gaps.

Think of laser welding as a complete system

A stable laser welding process is not created by individual components, but by the coordinated interaction of seam tracking, process control, gap bridging and quality assessment.

A central principle applies here: welding without filler wire - and only using wire where it is required by the process.

While filler wire is used for larger gaps or demanding materials such as aluminum, precise process control or mechanical solutions often enable efficient operation without filler material.

Inline functions such as seam tracking, process control and inspection stabilize the welding process during machining. In addition, quality evaluation ensures a reliable and traceable assessment of the weld seam.

The WeldMaster combines these functions in a modular system and thus enables an application-specific design - from precise seam tracking to complete process and quality control.
