Precitec is part of the Quaze funding project
The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE and Precitec are working together on the "Quaze" research project to develop an optical test method for determining the quality of battery cells. The aim is to evaluate the quality of cylindrical and prismatic battery cells efficiently and non-destructively in order to optimize their performance and service life. The recorded measurement data is used to generate models using machine learning methods that provide predictions about quality defects and the expected ageing process. By combining Fraunhofer ISE's expertise in the field of energy systems and Precitec's experience in the field of measurement technology, an innovative AI-supported process is to be developed that will make the production of battery cells more sustainable and economical.
