Functional Metasurfaces Go Global: SurFunction and Precitec Partner for Industrial Deployment

SurFunction and Precitec are joining forces to bring functional metasurfaces into industrial manufacturing worldwide.

The strategic partnership combines SurFunction's ELIPSYS® technology, based on Direct Laser Interference Patterning (DLIP), with Precitec's expertise in laser processing, systems integration, and its international sales and service network.

Precitec will become an international sales and service partner for ELIPSYS®, expanding access to the technology, particularly in North America and Asia.

By enabling precise surface structuring at industrial processing speeds, ELIPSYS® opens up new opportunities for manufacturers to improve component performance and add new functionality directly to their products.

Applications include reduced friction and wear, lower electrical contact resistance, and tailored water-repellent properties, without additional coatings in suitable applications.

For manufacturers, the partnership means easier access to this technology, integration into existing production lines, and local sales, service, and technical support.
