Typical applications for Precitec laser welding heads

Laser welding heads from Precitec are used in numerous industrial applications where precise energy input, stable processes and reproducible seam quality are crucial. Thanks to their modular design, the processing heads can be flexibly adapted to different laser powers, materials and production environments. This makes them suitable for highly automated series processes as well as for demanding welding tasks with complex component geometries.

Battery housings and components for electromobility

Laser welding plays a central role in the production of battery housings and components for electric vehicles. Controlled energy input and stable welding processes are particularly crucial for aluminum components in order to avoid pore formation and achieve a high seam quality. Precitec laser welding heads support these requirements with precise beam guidance and reproducible process conditions. They are used for welding battery housings, covers, cooling structures and structural battery modules, among other things.

Body-in-white production in automotive engineering

Laser welding is also an established process for highly productive series production in body-in-white manufacturing. Body structures, reinforcements and connecting elements must be produced at high speed and with consistent seam quality. Precitec laser welding heads enable stable process control even with complex geometries and varying component tolerances. Thanks to their compact design, they can be flexibly integrated into robot systems and automated production lines.

Structural parts and thick-walled components

In addition to applications in the automotive industry, laser welding heads are also used in many areas of general industry. These include, for example, structural components, thick-walled components or highly stressed connecting elements. High laser power, stable optics and reliable process control are crucial here in order to achieve deep welding depths and reproducible seam geometries. Precitec processing heads support these requirements with robust optical designs and flexible integration options in different production environments.

Laser welding heads are used worldwide in numerous industries where precise energy input and stable processes are crucial. The most important areas of application include the automotive industry, battery production for electromobility, mechanical engineering and applications in electronics and medical technology. Modern laser welding heads support efficient and reproducible manufacturing processes in automated production systems.
