Boosting Battery Production with In-Line Measurement
The rising demand for lithium-ion batteries-driven by renewable energy adoption and e-mobility-puts pressure on manufacturers to improve efficiency and quality. A key challenge lies in the electrode drying process, where minor deviations can lead to costly defects. In-line measurement technologies offer a powerful solution by enabling real-time monitoring and control, reducing waste and ensuring consistent, high-performance battery production. A dual-sided thickness measurement is performed using two chromatic confocal sensors to monitor the drying process.
