Container glass: optical measurement of wall thickness - Glasstec fair showcased new probe for non-rounds
CHRocodile sensors are the first choice for optical wall thickness measurements in the container glass industry. This was again evident at the glasstec fair located in Düsseldorf. Well known inspection machine manufacturers for cold end equipment were thrilled by Precitec's latest optical probe. This new probe can measure non-round glass containers with high acceptance angles, in the corners and the flats (see picture). In conjunction with the CHRocodile sensor it provides reliable thickness values at all the crucial points. With this latest addition, CHRocodile products are able to perform non-contact in-line thickness measurements on nearly all bottles.
