Design Engineer (m/f/d) – focus on optomechanics/precision systems (Barcelona)

Your tasks

• Development and design of high-precision assemblies in which optics and mechanics go hand in hand - from finely adjustable optical holders to complete beam guidance units
• Collaboration on projects for future industries such as e-mobility, semiconductor technology and laser technology
• Adjustable mechanics, optical axes, thermally stable design - you design systems where every detail matters
• Building and testing prototypes in direct exchange with optical design, production and assembly
• Creating standard-compliant 3D models and production documents (CAD) - paired with technical flair and an eye for what is feasible
• Technical evaluation of customer requirements and support in the quotation process
• Optimization of existing assemblies with regard to function, production costs and robustness

Your profile

• Completed technical studies or training (e.g. mechanical engineering, mechatronics, precision engineering)
• Several years of experience in the design of precision mechanical components - ideally with optical requirements
• Know-how in mechanical integration with optical elements (e.g. lenses, mirrors, beam splitters).
• Confident in using modern CAD systems (e.g. SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor)
• Enthusiasm for technical challenges, creative solution finding and teamwork at eye level
• Optional: Experience with adjustment mechanisms, materials for optical stability or clean room requirements
• good english skills, german is a plus
• you are based in Barcelona
