Non-destructive defect detection under the surface of opaque materials

Contactless detection of defects in and under opaque coatings

The reliable detection of defects below the surface is crucial for the quality of coated components and connections. The Enovasense Field Sensor is being developed to solve this problem.

Initial pilot projects show that it enables non-destructive and non-contact quality control of opaque coatings, even below the surface. Cracks, delamination and material changes in a large area of the components can be detected in a single image. It also provides mapping of coating thicknesses and is ideal for localizing defective welds.

Contactless coating inspection for industrial quality control: your benefits with the Enovasense Field Sensor

Detects defects in and under opaque materials

Quickly and reliably identifies cracks, delamination and material changes that are not visible from the outside.

Contactless, large-area mapping

Captures a large area in high resolution, enabling fast and comprehensive inspection of the coating.

Compact, easy to integrate design

Compact design, vibration-resistant operation and simple configuration enable simple and efficient use in various industrial environments.

Non-contact measurement of coatings and weld seams for industrial applications

Enovasense Field Sensor is designed for applications where both the thickness and the coating itself need to be analyzed.
Typical applications include the inspection of coated and welded components to check whether the coating or weld seam is intact or whether it has inclusions or adhesion defects. In this way, the sensor can visualize defects that are not visible from the outside, such as insufficiently bonded weld seams ("false friends"), and provides reliable measurement results even with complex geometries and varying component temperatures.
