Conflict Materials

We request our suppliers to comply with the US Dodd-Frank Act (DFA) of 2012 or the EU Conflict Minerals Regulation ((EU) 2017/821) of 2021), that requires companies to ensure their products do not contain so-called “3TGconflict minerals” (tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold) that fund armed conflict or are sourced from areas with human rights abuses. Together with our customers, we want to ensure greater transparency on the origin of such critical raw materials in our products.

In summary, our suppliers of production materials therefore undertake to provide comprehensive information on the smelters and mines in the countries of origin of the minerals used on request using the "Conflict Minerals Reporting Template" (CMRT) of the Responsible Minerals Initiative. To this end, the supplier is required to obtain reasonable evidence of where the conflict minerals it uses have been produced (smelter/melter) and to demonstrate, on the basis of this evidence, that these minerals are not from the countries indicated or that they come from scrap or recycling. The evidence can either come directly from the smelter/melter or indirectly via information from the company's supply chain.
