The intelligent pressure roller for high-quality welding processes

WeldMaster Pressure Wheel for targeted gap minimization and high-quality weld seams

The optics WeldMaster Pressure Wheel is an adaptive, mobile pressure wheel - designed for precise, process-stable welded joints in modern series production. It optimizes overlap and fillet welds through targeted gap minimization and supports the production of dense, high-quality weld seams.

The technology allows camera-based, upstream control of the welding position. This allows parameters to be adjusted online in the event of changing welding conditions - for maximum process stability and repeat accuracy.

WeldMaster Pressure Wheel - welding optics with pressure roller for high-quality laser welding processes in the application

Targeted gap minimization supports tight laser welding seams

constant contact pressure, independent of component position

The pressure roller ensures a constant contact pressure on the joining geometry - even when the position changes. Unevenness and thermally induced stresses in the component are reliably compensated for. This achieves uniform process conditions for stable weld seams - ideal for large free-form geometries.

Seam tracking & inspection in real time

The camera-based WeldMaster system continuously detects the joining geometry and positions the laser precisely and independently of the pressure roller. At the same time, the online inspection records the seam geometry and detects possible welding defects - in real time.

Adaptive process control for maximum flexibility

Two independently controllable laser channels allow dynamic power distribution - e.g. for lasers with core-ring geometry. This gives you flexibility for demanding processes or changing workpiece pairings within a product - with complete control over the process.
